Mid-19th Century N.W. Persian Bakshaiesh Shrub Carpet
This substantially antique square scatter shows a diagonal long-leaf diamond lattice enclosing two types of small, multiply flowering plants, all on the dark blue field. The red border shows a variant of the “Karaja” rosette and tiny flower array design. Good condition for a mid-19th century rug. Fine weave.
