Afshar #17394
The large Afshar tribe of southeast Persia weaves an extraordinary range of designs and rug types. This attractive bag from around 1900 has an ivory field closely patterned with geometrically stylized roses and a surrounding burnt orange angular undulating vine border. This is a totally genuine tribal artifact used in seasonal migrations.
