A brilliant yellow ground sets off the light red disc medallion with 10 cloud knots around a central rosette. A scatter fill of various devices peculiar Khotan rugs and triangular openwork fret corners complete the field composition. Narrow characteristic T-fret, rosette and diagonal swastika fret stripe borders are all classic for this desirable group of Sinkiang carpets.
