Caucasian - Karabagh #17624
The town of Shusha in the Karabagh was famous for the best quality antique pieces such as this fine c. 1870 rug with an elongated, slender pole medallion on a navy millefleurs ground with matching ivory corners. The navy border displays a flowing rosette and three flower vinery scroll. Very large gallery carpets are a Karabagh specialty.
